Food Processing


Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre

The centre assists in the planning stages through to the packaged and labelled product that is ready for test marketing. They also provide business development services including advice regarding funding resources, marketing strategy and human resource development. After the initial consultation, a technical service team is created to examine recipe standardization, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and quality assurance applications relating to the new product. This facility has also been established for interim processing. The new product can be developed from benchtop to pilot scale.

Saskatchewan Food Processors Association

SFPA's goal is to encourage growth of the Saskatchewan food and beverage industry by assisting its members in meeting the needs of the consumer through the promotion of 'Saskatchewan Made' products in and beyond the province. Saskatchewan made products provide incentives to many importing countries due to the reputations Canada and Saskatchewan have gained as pristine environments, which produce safe, quality products.
