What is SREDA Inc.?
The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority Inc. is a non-profit, public-private partnership that reports to business and is a fiscally responsible, accountable and results-focused economic development agency. Established in 1992, the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority was one of the first economic development agencies in Canada. Today, it's one of the most successful. SREDA is the largest of 28 regional economic development authorities in the Province of Saskatchewan and is dedicated to building and diversifying the Saskatoon region's economy by facilitating the expansion and/or retention of existing business, encouraging the location of complementary new business to the region, and improving related infrastructure and services to our local industrial sectors.
What are the hours of operation for the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority Inc.?
The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority Inc. office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Why a regional approach to economic development?
The communities making up the Saskatoon region are economically interdependent. Any economic development project providing jobs in any of these communities helps the entire region. Local and regional municipalities and provincial governments can work together with economic development groups to pool resources and share talent to be more competitive.
Who is eligible and how can I become a regional partner?
Regional partners are limited to municipalities within the Rural Municipalities of Aberdeen, Blucher, Corman Park, Dundurn, Great Bend, Rosthern and Vanscoy. For more information on service fees and benefits, please contact SREDA's Finance and Administration Coordinator at (306) 664-0722.
